Aviation staff underneath the aegis of the Nationwide Union Of Air Transport Staff (NUATE), Affiliation Of Nigeria Aviation Professionals (ANAP) and Nationwide Affiliation Of Plane Pilots And Engineers (NAAPE), will on Sunday, from midnight, shut down operations at Kaduna airport over a strike declared by the Nigeria Labour and Congress (NLC).
The unions accused the State authorities of anti-labour practices perpetrated towards civil servants by the Governor Nasir El-Rufai-led administration within the state.
In two separate letters collectively signed by the union’s leaders, specifically Ocheme Aba, Normal secretary, NUATE, Abdulrasak Saidu, Secretary-Normal, ANAP and Ofonime Umoh , Deputy Normal Secretary, NAAPE, the employees stated they are going to adjust to the directive of NLC to down instruments within the state between Could 16 and 21, 2021, including that every one staff have been directed to withdraw all providers on the airport inside the stipulated interval.
“In impact, there shall be no operations of any form into, at, or out of the airport inside the interval.
